La Goony Chonga

Born and raised in Miami, La Goony Chonga has always found importance in embracing her latin culture. Pulling influences from both her roots and her appreciation for various musical styles, the 29 year old singer/songwriter has developed “Treggaeton,” a completely new genre of music. Having lyrics in both English and Spanish, her audience is broad – and it’s only getting bigger. With several new singles that reflect the style of popular artists like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, La Goony Chonga is one of many women taking charge of the hip-hop scene.

LadyLand

On September 11th, La Goony Chonga played alongside Christina Aguilera and Caroline Polachek at Brooklyn festival LadyLand. A full line-up of DJ sets, drag shows, and musical performances from an impressive array of talent, and La Goony Chonga was no exception. Her superb performance of Woah and songs from her EP Descontrol stunned the audience and left fans wanting more.
